I'm not sure why, but I am in love with this picture. Ethan was swinging Maddie in circles in my bedroom, and I tried to catch it. She posed for me just as he was getting ready to lift her. There's something about it I can't quite articulate that captures who these two are at this moment in their lives, and when I look at it I'm struck by how much I love being their mother. Ethan created this city scape on the Etch-a-Sketch. Much better than anything I've ever done with it! He's much more patient than I am.
