Construction Party

We had Ethan's 4th birthday party last Saturday. It was construction-themed and most of the activities I planned were outdoors, which was complicated by the fact that it was 100 degrees (103 with the heat index). We moved what we could indoors and supplied lots of drinks. The kids moved this dirt pile to another part of the yard. They loved it. Then they had to transport water balloons in the back of dump trucks and attempt to knock over this "building." I think the water balloons were the hit of the party. We went inside for cake and presents. Ethan had a GREAT time. He was anticipating the party for weeks and was so excited he couldn't stand it. I'm so glad it lived up to his expectations!

Looks like a little boy's dream... dirt, trucks, water balloons, and chocolate cake. Birthdays are so much fun!
